Suhl-Friedberg sport shooting centre
The Suhl-Friedberg sport shooting centre (SSZ) is among the most modern in the world and certainly one of the most beautiful sport shooting facilities, according to athletes as well as guests. The best conditions for training and competition are a matter of course there. Since its inauguration for the 1971 European Championships, the "SSZ” has been one of the highest-regarded training and competition facilities throughout the world.
If it was until now valued for its idyllic location near a forest, its modernisation in 1999 has also made it one of the most modern and best-equipped sport shooting centres in the world. In addition to the new reception and information pavilion, the 50 metre rifle and pistol target shooting range; the large hall for sport shooting; the athlete and tourist lodgings and an administrative building were all modernised from the ground up and made accessible for the disabled
